Abstract

Karl Brunner, through his theorical and practical work accelerated the changes in the historical development of urbanism in Chile. He was hired twice by the Chilean State between 1929 and 1934. The projection of his work is defined by the contextual conditions around his visits and his work as an academic and promoter of urbanism. His presence marked a significant influence in the Chilean urban design community.
