Abstract

Within the context of a progressive evolution of the interest for museum's collection in a public and emblematic sense, this paper deals with the unclear limits that can be found between furniture and interior spaces, and between these and their extention by means of porticos and courtyards and between these extentions and the urban spaces. Thus, the relation with the past is analysed through the provate and meditation spaces up to the public space representing knowledge and prestige.
