In the 20th century, Modern Architecture experimented changes and transformations as a result of the many natural, economic, political, war and social crises. Each scenario of conflict became a turning point and a niche of opportunities to explore for architecture, which was between invention and reproduction. Through the complexity of systems and the emergence of new mechanisms of transmission and materialization of ideas, the game tool emerges to facilitate exercises of improvisation, variation, repetition and random. The productive capacity of the game, during the process of a project, is determined by its context and its rules. Using the crisis as a playground, three productive tools are proposed: games of chance, construction games and rules games, which can respond to 3 cyclical situations of need with different rules of play: emergency, informality and provocation.

Arquitecto, Máster y Doctorando por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, desarrollando su investigación doctoral sobre el Juego como herramienta de proyecto en situaciones de crisis. Ha trabajado en oficinas internacionales de arquitectura entre Holanda, España y Ecuador. Premio Nacional e Internacional de la categoría A de la XXI Bienal Panamericana de Arquitectura de Quito (BAQ2016), Ha sido Profesor Ayudante en talleres PFC y en el Laboratorio de Crítica del Máster de Proyectos Arquitectónicos Avanzados (2010/2012), junto al grupo de investigación ARKRIT, ETSAM. Ejerce como Profesor Titular de Diseño Arquitectónico en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Diseño de la Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil (Ecuador), dirigiendo un grupo de investigación sobre Eco-materiales en el proyecto: Refugio Antártico Ecuatoriano.
